I had always seen Doppio Zero in the neighborhood but had no idea what a culinary delight it was until I joined a group meal there. I felt transported to Tuscany. Everything was so fresh, fragrant, and delicious!

If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant in San Francisco, you should check out Dopio Zero. They have a dinner week special that had a three course meal that we split for under $60 total. The food is fresh, authentic, and delicious with great flavoring options. The service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It would be nice if they included bread as an appetizer while you are waiting for food. I had a wonderful time at Dopio Zero and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Italian cuisine.

I came here on a friday night when they just opened, the host was very friendly and sat us right away. They have a few tables outdoor and some more indoor (they let us choose) We ordered a coke, I think they have a soda fountain and the coke tasted very watered down. We ordered the pasta with shrimp and it was very underwhelming, it tasted like cheap store bought pasta with not enough flavor. The pizza had a good texture, doughy and they flavors where ok. I dont think they food is worth it but maybe I just didnt got the right food.

I stopped by Doppio Zero in San Francisco a while back. In terms of food, I tried the Calamari and Shrimp, Brussel Sprout, Fettuccine Short Ribs, (Fettuccine) Oxtail, and Margherita Pizza. The margherita pizza stood out the most. The other items were pretty good as well - crispy calamari and shrimp, nicely cooked short ribs, oxtail, and brussel sprouts, and good fettuccine. Overall, I d give the food 8.5/10

Wonderful atmosphere and super convenient eatery for symphony goers. The calamari and shrimp appetizer was incredible! The lasagna is tasty as is the mushroom pizza. Their version of Caesar salad will leave your taste bugs leaping for joy. The salmon salad was perfect and could be a light meal or heavy starter. The service was amazing. The location is perfect. I will definitely return.

Somewhat mediocre Neapolitan pizza. Toppings and crust are solid but the ratio of the pizza is very off. Crust gets soggy very quickly. Ordered fungo and jalapeño pizza, fungo was the better of the two.

Service from Antonio was incredible. So kind, swift, accommodating. He gave great wine recommendations and was equally personable and efficient. :) Food was tasty and FAST but still paced, which I appreciated. The pera salad was lovely, would definitely come back for that! Pizza crust was amazing, though the marinara pizza was a tad soggy in the center I would still get it again for the flavor and crust. Love that they have a Vegan pizza! Great dairy free accommodations too. Even a gluten free vegan ravioli on the menu. Lights are too bright and music was a bit too EDM/techno, but appreciate that it s open late. :)

I had high hopes when I visited the Italian pizza restaurant for dinner. However, my experience was mixed, with some dishes standing out while others left me underwhelmed. The burrata appetizer was a highlight of the meal, featuring caramelized nuts that added a nice touch of sweetness to the dish. It was clear that the restaurant was capable of creating unique and flavorful dishes. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the main courses. The signature Doppio pizza, while interesting in concept, was too doughy and soft for a pizza, and lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for. The beef short rib pasta was also underwhelming, tasting like a subpar beef stroganoff rather than a standout Italian pasta dish. In addition to the food, the service at the restaurant was only okay. While the staff was friendly, there were some lapses in attention and efficiency that detracted from the dining experience. Overall, while the Italian pizza restaurant had some highlights, the main courses left something to be desired. With some improvements to the food and service, the restaurant could create a more memorable dining experience.

Doppio is such a great happy hour atmosphere. Well priced, and even without a reservation they will do their best to fit you in to a table. The drinks are well made and I am a fan of the mezcal, the tequila variety is a bit lacking but the mezcal makes up for it. The pizza is a bit Smokey but still light and not too heavy. The meatballs were the table s favorite but the fries were a close second.

My fiance and I had a very disappointing experience here. The staff was really great, and the cocktails were pretty good. Our main issue was with the food. We ordered several dishes, and everything was very mediocre to bad. I was excited to try their award-winning pizza. We were so disappointed when we received our Margherita: It literally only had one piece of basil in the middle. For a pizza that only has three ingredients, its so upsetting when one of the ingredients is lacking. I also ordered the Cacio e Pepe which was extremely overcooked. It tasted like soggy mac and cheese. It was completely inedible. This place has a lot of potential, but they really need to work on refining their food. We spent well over $100 on our meal, and was disappointed to find out that the best part of it was my cocktail.
